Humans are always traveling or going places on a day to day basis all the time. Airports are some of the busiest places in the world. Imagine how many different people you see on a daily basis or how many food places that you go to every day. Its said that on average, we'll see 3 million faces in our lifetime. That's a lot of people with a lot of different backgrounds and experiences that could add to your network by giving out a simple business card. Anyone is a potential customer or even knows a potential customer. 

Also carrying multiple business cards on you is crucial because you never know when someone could come out of no where seeking out your services or you could be on a lunch break somewhere and over hear someone needing the services you provide.

Leaving your cards in businesses that you visit sometimes could also lead to productivity by gaining exposure from fellow customers that go into that establishment as well. It also familiarizes your business and services with the companies that you leave your card with. Having business cards is one of the ultimate forms of exposure and is a great way to build your network and gain business.
